EMEA Charity Bike Ride 2018
100 riders to take part in CBRE’s 2018 European Charity Bike Ride

On 3-7 June, 100 staff, clients, and sponsors will be cycling from Bilboa to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain in our ninth annual EMEA charity bike ride.

Not only are the riders travelling over 700km in just 5 days, they will be tackling the infamous Alto de l'Angliru – known to be the hardest climb in professional cycling.

The riders will be climbing over 33,000 foot - the equivalent of climbing mount Everest.

The bike ride will be raising money for our EMEA charity Partner, Plan International, and our Safer Cities project in Nairobi, Kenya. Safer Cities is putting children at the centre of transforming cities into places of inclusion, tolerance and opportunity for everyone. Together, CBRE and Plan International are improving girls’ safety in Nairobi and supporting boys and girls to challenge social norms and gender inequality.

Last year, six colleagues travelled to Nairobi to find out more about our Safer Cities project. They met some of the young people we are aiming to help and saw the shocking reality of living in one of the poorest parts of Kenya. You can share their experience by clicking on their photo story (click here).

Support our riders!

Staff from 9 countries including Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK will be taking part in the ride and we’d appreciate any support you can give.

Tweet them! Please show your encouragement by sending a supportive message to the riders using CBRE_EMEA and #cyclingheroes
